The Joyful Sound Church of God was established in 1993 by church founder Pastor James Barker.

From a storefront building in North Georgia to a thriving inner-city outreach, Joyful Sound has become an ark of safety for folks from all walks of life.

From the blue collar worker to the business owner to the homeless and needy, this ministry has impacted lives for Jesus Christ regardless of social status or community standing.

Joyful Sound is a lighthouse in the middle of one of the roughest areas of Chattanooga, TN.
